I waited for Daisy from the time I first thought of mating her mother to Wolfhouse Umberto, and I was very much looking forward to meeting her for more then a year before she was born. And I have to say - the reality is even better then I dreamed.
Very often I find myself smiling and watching her, just enjoying her lines, her dignified way of lying down, her powerful gallop, her lovely, lovely head. I know her faults but I can't help being amazed every time I look at her.
She is now at the worst age - trying her best to drive me mad several times a day. And then, just as I start to think that I will have to kill her or myself, because it's not possible for us both to survive her adolescence, she comes to me, sinks her head into my leg, wags her tail as much as she can and then looks up to my eyes to say: "I know you love me" . . . and I do :-)
